We review a series of titles on the streaming platform not suitable for sensitive souls or stomachs. A trip to madness with successful productions like ‘Saw V’ or horror classics like ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’.
The human being has always been tempted by morbid. Taking advantage of this feature, many filmmakers began to make exploitation cinema focused on visual effects to mutilate and show the blood and guts of its protagonists. The pioneer in this type of product was the director Herschell Gordon Lewis (The Wizard of gore, 2000 maniacs), which was followed by filmmakers such as George A. Romero (great cultivator of the zombie genre) or Tobe Hooper (revitalizing the so-called ‘slasher’, which he led to the dimension of the ‘splatter’), great geniuses of the cinematographic offal. The so-called gore can be used in a comedic tone – as Sam Raimi did with the trilogy Evil Dead– or to generate discomfort in the viewer – with Jörg Buttgereit, champion of the German ultragore as the highest representative. But it is a style that will always have fans around the world. For all of them -and those who want to start-, we propose a series of titles available on the Amazon Prime Video platform.

Irishman Greg McLean made his feature film debut with this ‘slasher’ that has touches of classics like Highway to Hell (1986) the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). In her, a local psycho – who looks like a cross between Crocodile Dundee and Jason Vorhees – lends a hand to three backpackers who are stranded with their vehicle while traveling to the interior of Australia to see the crater Wolf Creek. As it seems that it cannot be fixed, the guy invites them to stay at his farm. Little do the three of them know that their adventure is going to turn into a nightmare, when they begin to be tortured by this sadist in a bloody and painful game. Film loaded with black humor, which had a sequel years later, although it no longer had the freshness – and savagery – of this first installment.

Unfortunately, the zombies have made their way from the ground into the bunker. A battle plagued with blood and guts begins in the bowels of the earth. In the case of Bruce Willis it is another brand case, he was chosen as someone who could give that authority to be a protector, a guardian of flavor, that not just anyone can protect this flavor and that is where the search for a character that meet that goal and that’s where the Bruce Willis name comes up.
How was it working with him? He identifies with the brand, did he know what he wanted to convey?
What we always try is that the protagonist of our stories likes it. In Bruce’s case, I think he was interested in the project, I think he is very interested in Mexico as a market market. Let us also think that personalities amplify their knowledge in certain markets. I believe that tomorrow that can help their country.
As an agency, how did you come up with this narrative about the Guardian of Flavor?
The objective had to do with talking about the quality of the beer and protecting it and from there came the game of making the best beer is not for everyone and protecting it either and in that double game is where the idea of creating a character was born.
We have signed with Maradona, Guardiola, and we know that when you put a star in front of the camera and more to represent a brand, what you are bringing to people is entertainment.

We are going to surprise the competition with great things to come. As an agency we are very excited about what was done and what will be done. I believe that we are an agency with a very low profile that has very high-profile campaigns with a very high impact on a very high profile.
